JOIN A QUILT ®

"Bringing Us Back Together"

 Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will it come apart when we sleep?
A. No, just like any Velcro® product they hold firm until you pull hard. This coupled with the fact that the Quilt is inside a cover only, assures the quilt stay firmly together as one.

Q. Do you do an all year round Quilt?
A. Our Patent does cover All Year Round Quilts and our design will give you 12 variations instead of the usual 3. So all year comfort is assured.

Q. Why not just use ties?
A. All known methods of joining have been looked at over a long period of time, and we found that ties, although easy to manufacture, leave a cold spot at the join, allowing cold air to enter under the quilt.

Q. What about buttons or studs?
A. Buttons and studs in a lot of cases like ties can leave a cold spot at the join, but also are difficult to use, have a tendency to require mending over a period of time, and the degree of manufacturing needed to produce is more costly and not as reliable.

Q. Why not use zips?
A. Zips are covered under the Patent, as long as a plurality of joiners is used along each edge, to create interchangeable halves, that can be purchased independently of each other, that will always join another half no matter what it is.

Q. After we have washed it how can we tell which half is which?
A. Just like the packaging is marked with a colour coded side, the quilts have a colour coded piping sewn into them to assure there are no mix ups later on.

Q. Can I use them for both Summer and Winter?
A. Yes. If you use your normal quilt all year round, the Join A Quilt ® is manufactured the same except in half giving independent warmth.

Q. Can I order them through you?
A. At this stage no, as we are the Licensor, however if you like our Facebook Page we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign later in the year and you will be notified when it proceeds.

Q. Is a Quilt the same as a Duvet?
A. A Quilt, Duvet, or for that matter Couette, are the same thing - it just depends on what part of the world you are from.

Q. Where can I buy them?
A. Currently we are negotiating with major Department and Specialty Stores, with regard to geographical licenses. As these stores will want to be launching advertising campaigns, it is best to approach the stores themselves and they will tell you when they are coming in.

Q. I’m a retailer and are interested in merchandising them in my stores who do I contact?
A. If you wish to make an enquiry about stocking our product, please go to the trade enquiries page on this site and we will be in touch with you in the next few days.
